ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA – Rock Hill’s newest and coolest brew has landed in town, and after one sip, you might want to fly just like its namesake: Big Stuff Pale Ale!
A collaboration among Middle James Brewing Company, the Winthrop Alumni Association and Winthrop Athletics, this golden pale ale is a toast to the university’s beloved mascot and the amazing Eagle fans.
The Rock Hill community is invited to “Rock The Hill” and raise a glass of the pale ale at a launch party scheduled for Thursday, March 21. The launch party will begin at 5 p.m. at Middle James brewery (378 Technology Center Way #1120 in downtown Rock Hill).
The launch party will include free tastings, swag and games like Jenga, Connect 4 and cornhole. Attendees can also order food from the Power House, the food hall located next door.
Exclusive Big Stuff Pale Ale T-shirts will be for sale.
All About Big Stuff
For decades, each class at Winthrop was represented by its own mascot. In November 1975, the Student Government Association (now the Council of Student Leaders, Winthrop’s student governing body) began the process of selecting a mascot that would represent the entire institution. Thus, Big Stuff was born!
