*Degree candidates will select courses, with approval from their advisors, from one
or more of the following areas: language arts, mathematics, science and social studies.
The number of hours is flexible to reflect National Middle School Association/NCATE-Approved
Guidelines which stipulate that programs must meet the curricular needs of graduate
candidates with varied professional backgrounds and experiences.
Candidates will be required to meet performance measures as specified below:
Midpoint Assessment
1. Program of Study filed,
2. 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA,
3. Successful completion of key assessment from EDCI 630,
4. Review of professional dispositions.
Exit from the Program
1. 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA,
2. Successful completion of a culminating portfolio,
3. Successful completion of key assessment from EDCI 690, and
4. Final review of professional dispositions.
