The general MBA program is a 36 credit hour program, including nine credit hours of electives.  Students who pursue the MBA with a Human Resources concentration are required to take the 9 elective hours in employment law, growing and developing talent, and HR management coursework.  Students selecting this concentration often have a management background or an undergraduate degree in HR, management, or general business administration.  Graduates from this program are well suited to become managers of human resources departments or advance their HR management careers.  Example topics include: performance management, employee development, private and public sector employment law, labor relations, employment discrimination, international variations, unions, and public policy.
