The Social Work Club provides undergraduate students opportunities to organize activities related to the
social work profession. It provides a forum for students to have a collective voice
in their educational experience. The club is also a vehicle for helping students connect
with the professional practice community and the National Association of Social Workers
(NASW). Membership is open to all undergraduate students who are interested in the
values and activities of social work.

Winthrop's Association of Black Social Workers (ABSW) is a student affiliate of the National Association of Black Social Workers (NABSW). Their inclusive membership aims to foster understanding, awareness, and empowerment of the black community through advocacy, human services delivery, and research.

Phi Alpha is a National Honor Society for Social Work with the goal of promoting the humanitarian goals of the profession and promoting closer bonds among students. In addition to ensuring academic excellence among members, the Phi Alpha honor society fosters mentoring relationships between alumni and current students and members regularly engage in service to their state and local community.
