The Accounting, Finance, and Economics Department prepares students for careers in fields with high demand and earning potential. Our location near Charlotte, NC, the second largest financial hub in the country, provides exceptional employment opportunities for our graduates. Our students develop analytical, leadership, and communication skills through rigorous coursework, experiential learning, and involvement with student organizations. We offer the following programs.
The department consists of 15 faculty members who are dedicated to teaching and research excellence. Fourteen of our faculty hold doctoral degrees and many hold professional certifications and have extensive industry experience in their areas of expertise. The department distinguishes itself through its strong placement record with some of the top accounting, banking, and finance firms in the world and by providing opportunities to obtain scholarships, engage in practical experiences, and participate in specialized career fairs and networking events.
