Nominators are encouraged to highlight contributions across multiple areas, if applicable.
Nominations must include a statement describing how the individual(s) exemplify one
or more areas of excellence (200-word limit).
Eligible nominees include:
All full-time faculty and staff.
Part-time faculty and staff who meet one of the following criteria:
Work a minimum of 30 hours per week during the fall and spring terms.
Teach at least two unique courses during the academic year.
Have taught, supervised, or mentored consistently in the college for at least three
academic years.
Award of Excellence Categories
Student Development – Faculty or staff who demonstrate excellence in teaching, advising, supervision,
and/or mentoring; show strong collaboration within CESHS; are able to challenge students
to excel.
Collaboration & Spirit – Faculty and staff who consistently demonstrate enthusiasm and a positive attitude,
fostering a supportive college environment.
Stewardship & Service – Faculty and staff who go above and beyond assigned responsibilities; show deep
commitment to the growth of the department, college, and/or university.
Research, Outreach, & Creative Exploration – Faculty and staff who engage in outreach or scholarly work that creates opportunities
for students, positively impacts the community, advances disciplinary knowledge, or
fosters innovation.
Strategic Engagement – Faculty and staff whose contributions not captured in the categories above significantly
advance the college’s and/or university’s mission and vision.
