Dr. Lane Wesson joined the Early Childhood/Elementary Education faculty at Winthrop University in the fall of 2024. Dr. Wesson teaches courses within the early childhood and elementary program including: Community and School Collaboration/Partnerships, Curriculum and Instructional Experiences, Internship, Teaching Math in the PK-6 Classroom, and Teaching Science in the PK-6 Classroom. Her research publications and presentations focus on teacher retention, the use of AI in the classroom, and classroom management. She is also an expert in student engagement and motivation, conducting trainings all over the country.
Dr. Wesson was born in North Carolina and still resides there with her spouse and teenage son. They live in Gaston County, North Carolina.
