Alumni TIES Scholarship: The Alumni TIES offers a scholarship to cover costs of attending their regional seminar held exclusively for alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs to learn about key regional issues, receive training, collaborate with fellow alumni, and apply for small grants to implement projects in their home communities. Interested applicants apply through a competitive, online application process. The State Department’s Office of Alumni Affairs of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs conducts the final review of applicants.

The Future Nobel Laurate Scholarship Program: Fueled by a common belief that in order to change the world you need to experience it, EF College Study and The Forum on Education Abroad have created a first-of-its-kind, high-impact student scholarship program, in collaboration with EF’s educational partner the Nobel Prize Museum. This interdisciplinary program, which combines an online project-based course, an international field study in Sweden, and attendance at the 2022 Nobel Week Dialogue, is dedicated to including students from diverse backgrounds.

Japan Exchange and Teaching Program: The JET Program is a competitive employment opportunity that allows young professionals to live and work in cities, towns, and villages throughout Japan. The Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics Essay Contest was established in 1989 as an annual competition deisgned to challenge college students to analyze the urgent ethical issues confronting them in today's complex world. Students are encouraged to write thought-provoking personal essays that raise questions, single out issues, and are rational arguments for ethical action. Winners receive cash prizes.

Rangel Graduate Fellowship: The Rangel Graduate Fellowship is a program that aims to attract and prepare outstanding young people for careers in Foreign Service of the U.S. Department of State in which they can help formulate, represent, and implement U.S. foreign policy. The Rangel Program selects outstanding Rangel Fellows annually in a highly competitive nationwide process and supports them through two years of graduate study, internships, mentoring, and professional development activities. This program encourages the application of members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service, women, and those with financial need. Boren/National Security Education Program (NSEP): The National Security Education Program (NSEP) provides a unique funding opportunity for U.S. students to study world regions critical to U.S. interests (including Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America & the Caribbean, and the Middle East). NSEP provides scholarships to U.S. undergraduate students for study abroad in world areas critical to U.S. National Security. Recipients incur an obligation to work either for an office or agency of the Federal Government involved in national security affairs or in higher education. NSEP is merit based. The maximum NSEP Boren Scholarship award is $8,000 for a summer, $10,000 for a semester, and $20,000 for an academic year.
