Click on Student Dashboard > Click Apply for Graduation
Select your term of graduation and your curriculum
Note: If you are pursuing two degrees (e.g., an M.A. and M.S., etc.) or two majors in two different colleges with the same degree, you must apply for each one separately. You will see two sets of curriculum if this applies to you. A one-time $50 application fee will be charged to your student account.
Select your graduation date from the dropdown list.
Note: If you don’t see your graduation date listed, then it’s probably still too early to apply.

Once your application is submitted, you can view by clicking on the four squares in the upper left corner: Banner>>Student >>Student Information>>View application to Graduate
Diploma orders are based on the information provided on your application. For special instructions for your diploma name (such as accents), please contact Brantley Therrell in The Graduate Studies office.
Applications must be completed in Wingspan by the following dates:
February 1 for May and August graduation
September 15 for December graduation
Graduation filing fees:
Graduation fee $50
$50 PLUS late fee of $25 after the established deadlines above
The graduation fee will be charged to your student account.

The in-person commencement ceremony for May 2024 graduate candidates will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 7:00 PM.
Participation policy: Only those graduate students who have successfully completed all their degree requirements as outlined in the Graduate Catalog will be permitted to participate in commencement ceremonies. No exceptions will be made for any students who have not completed all their degree requirements.

Cap, gown, and hood can be purchased online through the Winthrop University Bookstore for approximately $100 + tax and shipping.
Please be advised the master's gown is different from an undergraduate gown, and therefore, you cannot wear your undergraduate gown for the graduate commencement ceremony. If you arrive with the wrong regalia, you will need to purchase the proper attire in order to participate in the ceremony.
Invitations and announcements are available through Jostens. Students may order them online at www.Jostens.com or by telephone at 800/854-7464. Invitations and announcements must be ordered in quantities of 25 and should be ordered six weeks in advance. Students may also have invitations printed at local print shops or print their own.
