Blackboard is the Learning Management System (LMS) used by Winthrop University. Blackboard is used for all online and hybrid courses at Winthrop, as well as many face-to-face courses.
Log in to Blackboard (Video)
Make sure you have a Winthrop e-mail account set up. If you do not have a Winthrop e-mail account, please go to 01 McBryde or set up a new student account online.
If you add an online course late, contact the instructor to notify them that you have added the course.
Review the system requirements and make the necessary updates to your personal computer. Blackboard will not function properly if your computer does not meet these requirements.

Login to Blackboard at https://bb-winthrop.blackboard.com/ultra/ on the very first day that the course is scheduled to begin so that you can determine if there are any issues with your login.

Respondus Lockdown Browser (Video)
The video takes you through all the steps of using and installing the Lockdown Browser. If you do not have Lockdown Browser installed, open the test and download the Lockdown Browser from the right side panel that appears. You will only need to download and install the Lockdown Browser one time.
