The Winthrop University Accounting Office provides information to faculty and staff on financial transaction processing. The Accounting Office is a service provider to departments and individuals on campus, answering questions and assisting individuals with their transactions.
The Accounting Office is charged with financial reporting consistent with generally accepted accounting principles for higher education. Current financial accounting policies of the University have been established in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles for higher education as set forth in the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Industry Audit Guide of Colleges and Universities, and the Governmental Accounting Standards Board Statements of Governmental Accounting Standards. Our goal is to make financial data accessible, relevant and useful.
