National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is the governing body of the historically African-American
fraternities and sororities (also known as the Divine Nine) and is responsible for
setting standards and policy for the chapters at Winthrop University that are housed
under National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. Members of the council consist of seven executive board members and one delegate
from each of the seven organizations. The council provides programming, fellowship,
and information to the members of NPHC through educational programs, round-table discussions,
and forums.
