Originally from Upstate New York, Mikayla moved to North Carolina to attend Queens University of Charlotte, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2021. Shortly after, she attended Winthrop University and received her Master of Education in Counseling and Development in 2023.
While pursuing her degree at Winthrop, Mikayla was a TRiO academic counselor for two years. Once she graduated, she accepted a position as the Academic Success Center's, Academic Coach. She recently transitioned into her new role, Director of the Academic Success Center.
In addition to her work at Winthrop, Mikayla coaches Northwestern Varsity Cheerleading. In her free time, she enjoys traveling the world, reading, and spending time with her fiancé and six animals.
