Marketing and advertising is just one way that Winthrop raises brand awareness and
helps attract new students. Our staff works closely with the undergraduate, graduate
and continuing education admissions teams to promote our programs to prospective students.
Our staff also collaborates with other campus departments, as well as community partners,
on various marketing initiatives and projects throughout the year.
Marketing also plays a major role in managing Winthrop's brand, helping ensure consistency and correct usage both on and off campus, including trademarks & licensing management. Additionally, coordinating promotional photography and assisting with
content for Winthrop's website falls under this area's responsibilities.
Led by UCM staff, Winthrop's Marketing Advisory Council is comprised of members from
across campus that meet regularly to discuss major initiatives that can help reach
the university's marketing goals, as well as identify opportunities from collaboration
between departments.
