The Department of Human Nutrition provides high-quality educational experiences for students pursuing a career in nutrition or other related healthcare fields. With a goal of preparing students to think critically, courses provide the knowledge and skills necessary to become leaders in nutrition and dietetics.
The undergraduate program in Dietetics is accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) to award Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Verification Statements, which allows students to apply to accredited Dietetic Internships. We also have an undergraduate program in Nutrition and Health Promotion, which allows graduates to pursue careers in food service management, public health, and wellness.
Our faculty are amongst the brightest in the field of nutrition and dietetics. Not only are all our faculty Registered Dietitians with real-world experience, but 80% of full-time faculty have completed doctoral degrees.
