The Student Nutrition and Dietetics Association (SNDA) is the Department of Human
Nutrition’s student organization. The purpose of SNDA is to provide a framework to
involve and to stimulate interest in the profession of dietetics and nutrition. The
goals of this organization are to:
- Acquaint students with all aspects of dietetics
- Broaden the scope of education through food service and nutrition related activities
- Provide sound nutrition information to the community at large and students
- Provide opportunities for members to become familiar with the Academy of Nutrition
and Dietetics
- Promote interdisciplinary growth and activities
- Instill a sense of professionalism of members by contact with faculty and other professionals
in the field
