We invite faculty and staff instructors to collaborate with the CDI on a class assignment or special project. If you are requesting a class presentation and an assignment, there are two separate request forms.
Typical class assignments include:
Students can schedule a virtual or in-person resume/cover letter appointment in Handshake. Appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes. During this time, students will receive feedback on their resume and/or cover letter and learn how to optimize these documents for applicant tracking systems (ATS).
We host resume days throughout the semester. These are great opportunities for your students to receive feedback from a CDI career coach or a recruiter. If you would like your class to participate, please let us know in advance so that we can accommodate your students and track participation.

These events are an excellent opportunity for students to practice their interview skills 1:1 with a CDI career coach or a recruiter. Choose from hundreds of interview questions for your students to practice with. Your students will receive feedback on their video recordings from the AI system (instant) as well as from the CDI staff. Please notify us once you have created an assignment.

Students can schedule a virtual or in-person appointment in Handshake. During this time, students will practice common interview questions and receive feedback on their interview technique.
Consider offering extra credit for students to attend a career fair or making it part of an assignment. These events provide excellent opportunities for students to practice their communication skills, expand their professional networks, and receive a professional headshot for their LinkedIn profiles.
